Target Audience: Incarcerated individuals from diverse backgrounds, ages, and incarceration reasons.

 

Teaching Methods: Our programs employ a multifaceted teaching approach, including lectures, interactive discussions, group activities, role-playing, guest speakers, assigned readings, written assignments, peer teaching, multimedia resources, and feedback and reflection sessions.

 

Structured Curriculum:

         Question: Is there a structured curriculum, lesson plan, facilitator guide, or outline that shows the overall objective of the program and the
                          modules or topics covered in each session?

         Answer: Yes, all our courses have a structured curriculum that outlines the overall objective of the program and provides a detailed breakdown
                         of the modules and topics covered in each session. The curriculum is designed to equip incarcerated individuals with essential skills

                         and knowledge for a successful understanding of each course's objectives.

Class Size:

          Question: What is the minimum and maximum number of participants in a group/class?

          Answer: The optimal class size for our program is between 10 to 15 participants. However, we can adjust the class size based on the facility's

                          requirements and logistics.

Program Duration:

         Question: What is the total number of program hours? Include the number of days per week and the number of hours per day.

          Answer: All courses are designed to run for a total of 48 program hours. The proposed format is:

                         - Duration: 8 weeks

                         - Days per week: 3 days (e.g., Monday, Wednesday, Friday)

                         - Hours per day: 2 hours

 

NOTE: We are flexible and willing to work with the Florida Department of Corrections to accommodate any adjustments needed for successful program implementation within their system.

 

Program Modifications:

            Question: Will any modifications be made to this program? (e.g., shortened or lengthened, changed topics/activities, or changed in any way.

                              If yes, please explain.

            Answer:  As of now, there are no immediate plans to modify the courses being offered. However, we are committed to continuous

                            improvement and will periodically review feedback from participants and facilitators. Any modifications deemed necessary in the 

                            future will be made with careful consideration and in consultation with relevant stakeholders.

Instructor Information: Peer Facilitators:

                *Inclusion Criteria for Peer Facilitators:

                          - Individuals within 3 to 6 months of their release date.

                          - Demonstrated leadership qualities and a commitment to personal growth and rehabilitation.

                          - Basic literacy level to comprehend the course material and facilitate discussions.

                *Exclusion Criteria for Peer Facilitators:

                          - Individuals with severe disciplinary actions or infractions within the last year.

                          - Individuals who pose a security risk or have been involved in violent incidents within the facility.

Completion Criteria:

               Question: What are the criteria for the program completion?

                 Answer: The criteria for successful completion of all courses/programs are as follows:

                          - Attendance: Participants must attend at least 85% of the total program sessions.

                          - Participation: Active engagement in class discussions, activities, and group exercises.

                          - Written Assignments: Completion of all assigned readings and written assignments.

                          - Final Exam: A passing score of 70% or higher on the multiple-choice final exam.

                          - Feedback and Reflection: Completion of the end-of-course feedback form and participation in the final reflection session.

                  **Upon meeting all the criteria, participants will be awarded a certificate of completion.

 

Program Delivery Monitoring:

                   We ensure program fidelity through program supervisors, regular observations, participant feedback, facilitator meetings, and various

                    monitoring tools.

 

Monitoring Outcomes and Completion:

                   We use pre/post-tests, attendance and participation records, surveys, reflection essays, interviews, and follow-up surveys to monitor

                    program outcomes and completion.
